Dorothy Caldwell is a Canadian based artist, working in the field of textiles. Caldwell's work is located in land and memory. Her interest lies in the landmarks which give a sense of place, and how humans respond, mark and visualise the land. Her vast travel she has been influenced both in sources of dyeing and stitching practices. She brings together traditional textile practices as well as darning, mending and patching, with in contemporary contexts.
