Add art & design to your degree

You don't have to give up your other studies to study visual art, design or art history and curatorship.
Are you passionate about art, but studying something else? There are many options to study visual art, design and art history & curatorship at ANU alongside your other studies.
Flexible Double Degree (FDD)
Many of our most popular courses have limited places. By transferring to a flexible double degree, you will receive priority access to these courses. A flexible double allows you to study two undergraduate degrees at the same time and graduate with two qualifications. Students enrolled in a flexible double degree may also be eligible for a range of additiona prizes, awards and scholarships available only to students studying a program in visual art, design, or art history and curatorship.

Majors, Minors and Electives
Bachelor of Arts students have access to a range of majors and minors, and other ANU students can supplement their degree with fun, rewarding and useful electives. A course with the ANU School of Art & Design could equip you with new methods of analysis and expression, new technical skills, and new experiences to broaden your approach to other studies. Our courses aim to be useful, fun and fulfilling. Our courses are a great way to stay motivated in your other studies by doing something different, engaging new parts of your mind and applying techniques and practices from across the world. Please note, priority placement for high demand 1000 level courses is given to students enrolled in an ANU School of Art & Design program, including Flexible Double Degrees. If there are specific courses you particularly want to undertake, we strongly encourage you to talk to the CASS Student Office about your options to transfer to a Flexible Double Degree.
