Art & life after art school

Bernie Slater is a Canberra-based artist whose artwork focuses on political and social issues. As part of the Culture Kitchen (a collaborative art group established in 2007), Slater has participated in collaborative projects in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Dili, East Timor with Taring Padi collective (Indonesia) and Gembel (East Timor). Bernie currently teaches Visual Arts at Canberra Institute of Technology.
