David Walker is the former head of crafts in the School of Art, Curtin University, and foundation coordinator of its internationally renowned jewellery and three-dimensional design courses. He is a contemporary jeweller and object maker, public artist, occasional writer and curator. His work is represented in national and international public collections and has been published in numerous books, journals and catalogues in Australia and overseas. In this Art Forum lecture David Walker will discuss his unusually broad practice in contemporary jewellery and its connections with his commissioned works as a designer/maker and his large scale public artworks.
