'Juncture' exhibition floor talk

Emma Langridge is a Melbourne-based painter and PhD candidate at the ANU School of Art. Her current exhibition Juncture features paintings and drawings created during the first two years of her candidacy. Emma’s work is made using self-imposed rules and limited materials, and her research focuses on the reasons for such parameters and most importantly, where change develops, given the restrictions.

Emma Langridge has participated in numerous exhibitions around Australia and internationally. Her work is held by Artbank, Bankwest, Benalla Art Gallery, Edith Cowan University, the Holmes á Court collection and the Centre for Contemporary Non-Objective Art. Shortlisted for several art prizes, Langridge is represented by Houston based gallery Gray Contemporary and also shows frequently at Galerie van den Berge, in Goes, the Netherlands.
