Textile Artist and ANU lecturer Monique Van Nieuwland and PhD Sculpture student Lucy Irvine will discuss their inclusion in the International Tapestry Triennial at the Central Museum of Textiles, Lodz Poland, in which their work represented Australian textile practices. Giving a national context for contemporary textiles, Lucy will also discuss Strung a survey of weaving exhibited at Artisan Gallery, Brisbane earlier this year. This Art Forum intends to showcase the breadth and adaptability of textiles to speak across disciplines and cultures.
