Mandy Ord is a Melbourne based comic artist and illustrator. Her stories appear in a broad range of local and international literary journals, books and anthologies. She has produced two published works: Rooftops (published in 2008 by Finlay Lloyd) and Sensitive Creatures (published in 2011 by Allen & Unwin). As well as producing comics Mandy also presents talks and runs comic educational workshops for schools, universities and community groups. In 2011 she was part of a group residency through the NGV called Inherent Vice, was a guest speaker and illustrator in residence at the Melbourne Writers Festival and a speaker and workshop presenter at Graphic, a Sydney based festival of comics and graphic novels. In 2012 she will travel to New York and Toronto as part of The Caravan of Comics to promote her books at two major comic book conventions.
Mandy Ord is a graduate of the Painting Workshop at the ANU School of Art.
