Contour 556 event

Christoph Dahlhausen is a German-based fine artist working across painting, sculpture, installation and light-based artistic forms. Light, the natural and the artificial, has always been the focus of Dahlhausen's artistic research. His talk “more light” will focus on some aspects of his practice, particularly the role of light in his work. Dahlhausen uses ordinary scaffoldings and special blue fluorescent light tubes, not just as an additional aesthetical element in sculptural situations or as illumination, but as an independent medium. Dahlhausen is Adjunct Professor of Fine Art at the School of Art of RMIT University, Melbourne.
