Baden Pailthorpe is the inaugural artist in residence at the Australian War Memorial. His practice encompasses video, photography and new media, engaging with the political and cultural impact of military technologies. His residency was made possible through the Australia Council's early career residency program. Baden will be undertaking extensive research into the Memorial's collection to develop a major new body of work exploring the impact of war on Australian society.
