Caren Florance often works under the imprint Ampersand Duck. She is an artist whose work focuses on the book and the printed word and incorporates traditional bookbinding and letterpress processes. Caren is a sessional teacher at the ANU School of Art and is currently undertaking PhD studies at Monash University. Each year she offers a residency in her home print studio to two graduates under the Emerging Artist Support Scheme, to produce a letterpress poster, or 'broadside'. The results of this residency (to date) will be exhibited in the show 'Broad' at ANU School of Art Foyer Gallery from 7-18 August.
