Denise Green is an Australian-born artist and writer currently based in New York. She is the author of Metonymy in Contemporary Art: A New Paradigm, and her most recent book An Artist’s Odyssey has just been released. Denise has a long and distinguished practice and has been included in landmark exhibitions at the Whitney and Guggenheim Museums. Retrospectives of her work have taken place at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, P.S. 1/MoMA in New York and the Museum Kurhaus Kleve (Germany). She was an editor on Semiotext(e) and has written extensively for visual arts journals both internationally and in Australia. In 2007 she was awarded the Order of Australia. In 2012, she will exhibit at Arc One Gallery in Melbourne and the Andrew Baker Gallery in Brisbane.
