The exhibition Michael Le Grand: Sculpture is currently on show at the Canberra Museum and Gallery. The exhibition examines the sculpture of leading Australian (and Canberra-based) artist Michael Le Grand, from the late 1970s to 2010. Le Grand’s oeuvre is characterised by his ongoing commitment to the rich traditions of formalist abstract sculpture in metal.
Michael Le Grand has been involved in the Canberra art community for many years and has also worked at the ANU School of Art. Michael retired as the Head of the Sculpture Workshop at the ANU School of Art in 2007.
