Gerry Wedd

Gerry Wedd has worked as a ceramicist, a jeweller, as a designer for Mambo Graphics and as a public artist. He is probably best known for his witty graphics for Mambo and for ceramic works which sample references from music, popular culture and a range of ceramic traditions. His more recent work has injected the iconography of willow pattern with a commentary on Australian political responses to boat people and the war on terror. His work is included in major public collections and in 2009 his work was included in the Havana Biennial.
