Australia and Germany

Hijacked 2: Germany and Australia is an innovative new exhibition of work by 32 photomedia artists (16 from Australia and 16 from Germany). The exhibition presents images from a major new book with the same title.

Building on the contemporary modality of social networking, the exhibition eschews a simple linear critical argument in favour of a multiplicity dialogues between works. The result is often surprising or challenging in its juxtapositions. Work by established Australian artists is revealed in new light, while unfamiliar work by emerging artists and those from overseas is introduced in stimulating and engaging ways.
