Work by Visiting artist Krynkana (Yui) Kongpetch

I am fascinated by how memories are formed around and related to the idea and reality of death. This concept extends upon my prior work which utilized figures and sculptural materials to poetically visualize various characteristics of death. The work developed during the residency at the ANU Sculpture Workshop will extend this dialogue and build relationships between image, imagination and memory around my subject.

Yui is currently the Visiting Artist at the ANU School of Art Sculpture workshop and will be giving an artist talk at 5 pm, March 12 upstairs in the Sculpture Workshop. Find out more about the artist talk.
