Erwin Olaf and Hendrik Kerstens, two of the most well-known and important contemporary photographers from the Netherlands, are showing at the ANU School of Art & Design’s Photospace Gallery, with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands.

Hendrik Kerstens exhibits a series of portraits emulating the style of the Dutch masters, but using contemporary synthetic materials.

In Erwin Olaf’ portraits each solitary figure is either turned away or with their gaze downcast in a private moment from their own internal world.
