Join Noted festival for a discussion about the nature and importance of fostering a culture of critical writing in small arts communities, specifically, in the visual arts community of Canberra.
This panel features Sally Pryor, Arts Editor for Canberra Times, Jess Oliver, emerging arts writer and Peter Haynes, curator and arts writer.

Jess Oliver
Jess Oliver is a writer and art critic with a degree in anthropology and art history, and a Masters in communications. She has been published in The Canberra Times, Sydney Morning Herald and Ceramics: Art and Perception (September, 2016). In 2015, Jess was the ANCA Critic-In-Residence. When she’s not writing about art, she’s talking about it - on the 2XX FM show she co-presents, Culture Space.
Peter Haynes
Peter Haynes has over 35 years’ experience in curating, writing and arts administration and is one of Australia's highly-acclaimed curators and commentators of Australian ceramics. Peter is a former director of the Canberra Museum and Gallery.
