The exhibition will be opened by Dr Rowan Conroy, lecturer in Photography at The Australian National University.

The Photography Room presents 'Portside' by Tom Williams, an exhibition of work from his ongoing series Wollongong Now.  Tom has been a resident of Wollongong for over 15 years, and this series deftly explores the places and people of the region.  Tom's interest in engaging with and documenting a time and a place is captured in this exploration of a city through it's people, fashion, architecture, and landscape.

Tom Williams is an accomplished and well-recognised freelance documentary photographer, and lecturer in Photography and Photojournalism at the University of Wollongong.

This is the first exhibition of Tom Williams' photography in Canberra, and his first solo exhibition with The Photography Room.
