The ANU School of Art & Design (ANU SOA&D) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Bundian Way Arts Exchange (BWAE) in 2020.

The Bundian Way Arts Exchange is a participatory project building positive reciprocal relationships between the Canberra community and local regional First Nations and non-Indigenous communities. The Bundian Way Arts Exchange project commenced in 2019 and is supported by artsACT.

In 2020 the Bundian Way Arts Exchange will be an Online Field Engagement Program including:

• A series of 2-hour online meetings for selected participants (selected Monday evenings 6.00pm to 8.00pm, and a few Saturday afternoons sessions 2.00-4.00pm)

• Facilitated discussion of curated reading materials alongside current events as they unfold

• Online cultural competency workshop

• Support to develop your creative project amongst a group of creative peers

• Series of pre-recorded and live-streamed contributions from field contributors

• Opportunity to contribute to an e-publication

Please join us for an online public information session to hear more about the Bundian Way Arts Exchange project and the Expression of Interest process. Creative people in the ACT community are encouraged to apply.

The Public Information Session will be led by Dr Amanda Stuart and Ms Amelia Zaraftis. The session will cover how we have adapted the project given the constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic. Join us to hear about our plans for the 2020 Public Events, and find out how our partner organisations and contributors are enthusiastic to continue with an online adapted version of the Field Program as a way to sustain and celebrate cultural and creative exchange, between our communities this year. Representatives from Twofold Aboriginal Corporation and the Bundian Way Advisory Committee will share reflections on their ongoing relationships with the BWAE Project, The Bundian Way and the region. Dr Stuart and Ms Zaraftis will talk about the overarching aims and purpose of the BWAE project, reflect on the 2019 Bundian Way Arts Exchange Field Program, and provide details on the scope of the adapted 2020 project.

Please note the information session will be held on Zoom. Zoom is a free online video call platform. The link for the zoom call and instructions for how to connect will be provided via email to all participants the day before the event.
