Public Lecture: Chuck Joseph & Louise Rive

Chuck Joseph BA and Louise Rive BFA (University of Auckland) have been working as independent artists since 1980 from EDGE CITY studio in the city of Auckland. They have exhibited widely and their work is held in major NZ art collections.
In a highly narrative session they will talk about their ceramic and collective obsessions and their adventures in ceramic expression: cowboys, mercenaries, shipwrecks, sharks, folk pottery, European ceramic centrepieces, bats, the Hoodoo Gurus, Mohammed Ali vs. Superman, the spaces between, prizes, surprises, the magic of making and painting, the land they love and the stories it tells.
