Public Lecture: Tony Ayres

ANU SOA&D Public Lecture Program

Tony Ayres is an executive producer, showrunner, writer and director. Tony is the EP of Glitch (winner 2015 AACTA and Logie for Best Drama Series), The Family Law, Wanted, and Nowhere Boys s2 which won the 2015 International Emmy.  As well, he has produced Nowhere Boys s1, and Barracuda.  He also recently directed the feature Cut Snake. Previously, Tony has EP’d Old School, Devil’s Playground, Nowhere Boys - The Book of Shadows (feature film).  He was the showrunner on The Slap, which won awards at AACTA and was nominated for BAFTA and Emmy awards. Tony’s other scripted television work includes Bogan Pride, Saved, and Underground. Early features include Walking on Water, and The Home Song Stories.  Upcoming projects include Seven Types of Ambiguity for the ABC, Glitch s2, Wanted s2, The Family Law s2, Nowhere Boys s3 and the feature film Ali’s Wedding.

Tony Ayres is a graduate of the ANU School of Art & Design.
