Simon Ramsey

 Some Guitars is a collection of acoustic instruments made by Simon Ramsey, a Canberra based designer/maker and luthier. Simon works with a variety of timbers, both native and exotic. His work displays a knowledge and sensitivity to materials which has been acquired through the slow hands-on process of experiential understanding. The exhibition includes images of the guitarmaker’s workshop by photographer Stuart Cohen. The opening will include a short performance by local guitarist Ty Quinn and an open invitation for other musicians to come and play.
