Sustainable Creative Careers: Meet the Arts Orgs

Meet the Arts Orgs is a fun and informal way to meet & greet Canberra’s arts organisations, to learn more about who they are, what they do and opportunities they may offer.

In turn, they will learn a little about you and your artistic practice.

It’s networking, but less awkward!

Feeling a little scared or confused about the Canberra arts scene? Are you an emerging artist, a mid-career artist or just looking to connect? Then this event is perfect for you! Come and meet our friendly arts community over a cold drink!

Arts Orgs attending include: ANCA, Canberra Contemporary Art Space, Canberra Glassworks, Canberra Museum & Gallery, Canberra Potters Society, CraftACT, Drill Hall Gallery, M16 Artspace, Megalo Print Studio + Gallery, Strathnairn Arts Association & Tuggeranong Arts Centre.

Meet the Arts Orgs is our first event for 2019, and is part of our bigger program Sustainable Creative Careers: Getting your art career started (or re-booted!)

The art world can be a confusing and difficult space to navigate, especially when keeping pace with changing trends, expectations and technology. Throughout 2019 / 2020 the ANU School of Art & Design will be running a series of events for recent graduates, emerging artists, mid-career artists and for anyone who would like to get a better understanding of what skills are needed to gain a place in the contemporary art world.
