Stories of 12 Falun Gong practitioners that have been prohibited and vilified by the Chinese Government. The artists portray basic human dignity that is jeopardised in China. These works come from the silent, imprisoned and those who live by the precept of Falun Gong: Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. Some have risked their lives to accomplish this feat.
The Art of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance consists of a commission of twelve internationally acclaimed artists. Their works tell many stories of Falun Gong practitioners who embrace a high level of cultivation practices that have been prohibited and vilified by the Chinese communist regime. The artists portrait basic human dignity that is jeopardised in China and human rights that transform Chinese culture, bringing out and depicting real stories and magnitude of :
· brutal treatment,
· jubilant courage and
· enduring beauty
In telling these untold stories, words come from the silent, imprisoned and those who live by the principles of Falun Gong: “Truth, Compassion & Tolerance”. Some have risked their lives to accomplish this feat. This artistic representation has a powerful capacity to convey meaning metaphorically. Reality and metaphor are strongly linked.
