DEFINING MYSELF THROUGH ARTWORK

Does a moral standpoint of an author define his/her artwork`s quality?

I am scared of art and I don’t believe in its meaning. However, I desire to live in art and with it

I admire artwork that gives up on being explained and understood. It is probably solely the ar that possesses an ability to exist without a need to be looked through and comprehended. It is actually that uncertainty generated by an inability to “grasp it” which seems to me as the most important feature of an artwork.

I adore music for its abstract character.

I love art surviving on the periphery - originating quietly, maybe even unawares, with no ambitions to be celebrated and displayed in large halls and expensive homes.

I desire art with no ambitions except one for authenticity.

The ideal time for an author has come now since all forms, principles and strategies have been
presented, work of art does not overwhelm any more nor shock the viewer, there is no taboo in the art and the artist doesn’t strive for originality. Now it is possible to create without any danger of having the artistic value confused for formal parameters like size, weight, price

Please accept Dr Pešek’s to a John Cage session - a sonata for a hundred thousand leaves, wind and ears. Duration - 2`47``.
