Workshop: Japanese woodblock print, urauchi & embroidery

With visiting artist Ema Shin

This workshop will explore historical and natural Japanese woodblock print and urauchi (chine-colle) techniques to create unique artworks. Textile artist and printmaker Ema Shin will teach participants how to carve a block with their own design, print on paper and fabric, layer images using chine-colle and incorporate embroidery as Ema does in her own work.
