Raquel Ormella and Leah Bullen selected

Painting workshop staff member and School of Art Alumna Raquel Ormella along with current PhD Candidate Leah Bullen have been selected in the Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize 2013. The annual prize selects an established artist who in turn nominates an emerging artist to participate alongside them in the exhibition. This year's curator is Julie Rrap and the judges are respected curator and former Director of the Art Gallery of NSW Edmund Capon, National Art School Curator Katie Dyer and Redlands Visual Arts teachers. The established artist category carries a $25,000 prize and the emerging category carries a $10,000 prize with works acquired by Redlands.

The exhibition opens on the Thursday 2 May at 6pm at National Art School Gallery, Darlinghurst, Sydney. The exhibition continues until 1 June.
