The Centre will soon be farewelling Nigel Meager, PhD candidate at Cambridge University, who has spent three months at ANU developing his project on the art education of children. He is particularly interested in the ways children's imagery evidences their capacity for deep speculative, abstract and philosophical thinking as they make art.
As part of his research he has been exploring how observational film methods pioneered by Professor David MacDougall which might help research art education in schools.
