ANU School of Art & Design graduates, Annette An-Jen Liu and Louis Grant, have been selected to exhibit in the 2019 Hatched National Graduate Show at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA).
Since 1992, the Hatched National Graduate Show has presented the work of over one thousand artists alongside that of their national peers in this unique showcase of emergent talent. The exhibition tests the pulse of the nation’s emerging arts scene while acting as an important platform to launch the careers of the next generation of Australian artists. The panel that assessed the work included Sandy Hsiu-chih Lo (Chief Curator, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts), Melissa Keys (Curator Buxton, Contemporary, Melbourne), and Eugenio Viola (Senior Curator, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts).
Annette and Louis are two of the 18 visual art and design graduates across Australia invited to particpate in the exhibition.
Both Louis and Annette graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), in Glass and Photomedia respectively, at the end of 2018.
Hatched 2019 opens on Friday the 3 May 2019 and the exhibition continues until the 7 July 2019.
