Dr Michelle Antoinette and Dr Ursula Frederick have been awarded Discovery Early Career Researcher Awards (DECRAs) and Dr Robert Wellington is a key participant in a successful Discovery Project in the latest round of Australian Research Council (ARC) funding.

Dr Michelle Antoinette, Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Art History and Art Theory, was awarded funding for her project that aims to understand new forms of public participation in Asia's arts and culture sectors.

Dr Ursula Frederick's project will investigate contemporary archaeology method and theory, specifically the proposition that art practice can create and communicate archaeological knowledge. Dr Frederick is a current staff member and alumni of Photography and Media Arts and Art Theory.

Dr Robert Wellington is a key participant in a Discovery Project that will study the illustrated songbook, and through multifaceted research will create a multimedia digital interface for linking deep disciplinary knowledge and the recreation of the sounds, sensibilities, and social mores of 18th-century France.
