ANU School of Art lecturers Dr Raquel Ormella and Rebecca Mayo and PhD graduate Dr Sally Blake have been selected for Open House: 3rd Tamworth Textile Triennial in 2017.

Curated by Glenn Barkley, the exhibition is a prominent national event for textiles practice, and will tour to several regional centres across Australia from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2020.

It introduces a new group of artists working in textiles today, including artists from Indigenous, multi-cultural, environmental and minority groups, and celebrates the open-ended nature of their practice. 

Curated around the theme Open House, the exhibition explores the importance of the making process, highlighting aspects of talking, sharing and creating that involves both artist and viewer as equal participants.
