ANU School of Art & Design Honours Convenor Raquel Ormella and Painting Workshop Adjunct Lecturer Peter Maloney are both exhibiting in The National 2017: New Australian Art, a showcase of contemporary art taking place across the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Carriageworks, in Sydney.
City without Crows by Raquel Ormella is a performance lecture about the trade of native birds in the caged pet market of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It will take place on 31 May and 3-4 June at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Book here.
Peter Maloney’s work combines abstract painting and collage of black and white photographs and text to create commentaries on contemporary life. They are now showing at the Museum of Contemporary Art until 18 June.
