Congratulations to Art History and Curatorship Honours students Ella Morrison and Hannah Webb, who are taking up the Capital Arts Patrons Organisation (CAPO) Curatorial Internship Award, enabling them to co-curate an exhibition at M16 Artspace in Griffith, ACT. The award was announced at the School of Art’s Graduating Exhibition in November 2014. Ella and Hannah will be mentored by the M16 Gallery curator and several CAPO Board members and their exhibition will be held at M16 between Thursday 28 May and Sunday 14 June 2015. Both will receive a $1,000 stipend.
Both students graduated with First Class Honours last year. Immediately after their joint curatorial work at M16, Ella returns to study a PhD in art history at the Centre on the artists’ book of a prominent Australian printmaker, and Hannah is taking up a place in the Open Palace Program in London, visiting 18th century historic houses, an interest that emerged from her research towards her Honours thesis. Congratulations to our young graduates for winning this inaugural CAPO Internship Award administered through the Emerging Artist Support Scheme at ANU’s School of Art.
We look forward to seeing Ella and Hannah’s exhibition at M16 in a few months’ time!
