Craft & Object Design finalists at the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards

The Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards have announced the finalists for the Craft & Object Design category with two ANU School of Art representatives included in the list of 10 finalists. 

Alison Jackson is an alumna of the Gold and Silversmithing Workshop. She is a designer and maker of contemporary tableware and jewellery.

Nellie Peoples is a current Honours student in the Gold and Silversmithing Workshop and is interested in the convergence of architecture and design through her practice of making metal jewellery.

The award is a highly prestigious program that awards the winner a $5,000 air travel and $5,000 cash to enhance their career as well as the opportunity to work with a mentor who is a creative leader in their field. The award drew over 2,400 young creatives across 11 disciplines.
