William McClure

William McClure was recently awarded a Creative Australia – Creative Development Grant to develop an immersive liquid installation, utilising video, sound, light and architectural themes  to the value of $30,000.  The work will be developed in collaboration with Denis Beaubois and Jeff Stein. This work is called Extinction.

McClure was also a creator of a work, in collaboration with Denis Beaubois and Jeff Stein, that was presented at the Melbourne Festival 2012 titled Impasse.

Impasse was built as a fully immersive installation made from 50 blocks of foam (2.08 m wide X 2.08 m high and 1 m thick). This work was very successful, winning the Time Out award for being the best Hybrid and Experimental work in Melbourne 2012 – where it was said "Hand on heart, we had more fun romping through this foam wonderland than at any other performing arts event all year."
