David Hansen has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the forthcoming interdisciplinary conference Human Kind: Transforming Identity in British and Australian Portraits 1700-1914l, to be held at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in September 2016.

The conference is jointly organised by the University of Melbourne and the NGV, and will be the largest gathering of international and Australian scholars to focus on portraits, creating a dynamic exchange between academics and curators.
