Final week: China & ANU

Tuesday 15 September 2015

China & ANU is an extensive exhibition of rare archival documents, photographs and films that introduces the diplomats, adventurers and scholars who were influential in building Australia’s relationship with China during the region’s postwar reconstruction.

Based on original research, the exhibition focuses on the interconnection between Australia’s first diplomat-scholars in China, and Chinese Studies at the newly established Australian National University.

It includes a series of photographs and historical documents printed on several large-scale plywood panels, which were produced by Jason O'Brien at the ANU School of Art Inkjet Research Facility.

China & ANU is showing at The Australian Centre on China in the World until September 18.
