Gilbert Riedelbauch wins Distinguished Teaching award at ACUADS 2016

On Thursday 29th September at the annual ACUADS conference in Brisbane, Gilbert Riedelbauch was awarded the 2017 ACUADS Distinguished Teaching Award in the presence of colleagues from art and design schools and universities.
As the Head of the School of Art’s first-year Foundation Studies program Gilbert has transformed this program, implementing a blended learning environment and increasing the flexibility and equity of Foundation Studies. Improvements to the infrastructure, online and in the classroom, introducing first-year visual art students to the creative and stimulating use of new digital technologies together with continuing content renewal, have had a measurable effect on student experience. He has a longstanding commitment to knowledge and technology in teaching and learning methods. For more than 20 years at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels Gilbert has made a distinguished contribution to education.
