Director of the ANU Centre for Art History and Art Theory Helen Ennis is participating in a forum organised by The Childers Group to discuss what’s planned and what’s needed for the arts in the ACT region.
It will be held with candidates from the three main political parties: Dr Chris Bourke MLA, Minister for Small Business and the Arts (ACT Labor), Shane Rattenbury MLA, Spokesperson for the Arts (ACT Greens) and Brendan Smyth MLA, Shadow Minister for the Arts (ACT Liberals), with the aim of reminding them of the important contribution by artists to the vitality of Canberra. Audience members will have the opportunity to share their views and suggestions for the future.
Helen Ennis will be joined on the panel by journalist Paul Daley, musician and comedian Chris Endrey, and artist, writer and ANU School of Art alumna Jenni Kemarre Martiniello.
Vision and support: what's planned and what's need for the arts in the ACT Region? is on Wednesday 24 February, 5.30 to 7.30pm, at Gorman Arts Centre. Book here.
