A new book titled Jörg Schmeisser: bilder der reise  was launched at Canberra Museum and Gallery on Saturday 12 October 2013. the new book celebrates the life and art of Jörg Schmeisser and reproduces a very personal selection of works chosen by the master printmaker himself.

The book is edited by Merryn Gates from SFA Press with writings from many different contributors including a forward from Roger Butler, Senior Curator of Australian Prints, Drawings and Illustrated Books.

Jörg Schmeisser was a former head of the Printmaking Workshop at the ANU School of Art and sadly passed away in 2012. He is sorely missed by the printmaking and art community as a whole in Canberra.
