Kelly Austin wins 2016 Handpicked Handmade ceramic competition

ANU School of Art Masters student Kelly Austin has won the 2016 Handpicked Handmade ceramic competition at Gallery Klei in Sydney. Australia’s first competition for ceramic decanters received over 60 entries, with 20 finalists selected from across the country.

The judges said of Austin’s work: "An extremely elegant wine vessel, this was awarded top prize for both functionality as a decanter and its beautiful simplicity.”

The exhibition of finalists’ work is showing until 18 March at Gallery Klei.
