Leah Bullen Wins Stanthorpe Art Prize

Congratulations to Leah Bullen, alumna of the ANU School of Art & Design, winner of the 2021 Stanthorpe Art Prize.

Ms Bullen won first prize, with her watercolour, Memoryscape (Garden with sunflowers and pencil pines) and was awarded the $22,000 ‘Best in Show’ as well as the $3,500 2-D Painting/Drawing category prizes.

Bullen completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) and a Doctor of Philosophy Creative Arts at the Australian National University School of Art & Design.

The judges this year were Simon Wright—Assistant Director, Learning & Public Engagement, Queensland Art Gallery Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) and Rachael Parsons—Director, NERAM (New England Regional Art Museum)

The Stanthorpe Art Prize is hosted by the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery in the heart of the Granite Belt Queensland.
