Mel Douglas etched into the AGWA collection

The ANU School of Art would like to Congratulate Mel Douglas for winning the 2014 Tom Malone Prize for contemporary glass artists.
Camber was the winning work by Douglas who is a graduate and current staff member of the Glass Workshop.
She joins a prestigious list of glass artists who have also been awarded the acquisitive prize, many are also alumni of the ANU, and she receives $12, 000 in prize money.
The work will become part of the State Art Collection at the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) and is on display until April 21 along with the entries from the highly competitive shortlist that demonstrate the diversity of glass making practice.
