The ACT Government has decided to name one of the new streets in the Canberra suburb of Weston in honour of the late Udo Sellbach OAM. The roads in Weston are named after artists and the decision to commemorate Udo Sellbach has the support of his family.

Udo Sellbach was appointed the founding Director of the then Canberra School of Art, a position which he held from 1977 to 1985. He was an influential artist and printmaker, setting up the Graphic Investigation workshop at the School and a joint founder of the Print Council of Australia. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1997 for service to art as an artist, to the development of printmaking and to art education.
