New water jet cutter installed in ANU Glass Workshop

Thursday 30 June 2016

The ANU School of Art has begun installing a new suite of high end digital facilities as part of a Major Equipment Grant awarded to the school in 2016.

Last week, a new water jet cutter was installed in the Glass Workshop, which will accompany a 3D printer in the Gold and Silversmithing workshop and a large format scanner printer in Printmedia and Drawing.

The equipment will assist artists, craftspeople and designers to generate precise and reputable outcomes in their work and also facilitate deeper cross disciplinary activity with greater emphasis on digital design.
