National Film and Sound Archive selects seven short animations by students from the ANU, School of Art.

The screening of 45 short animations at ARC Cinema, NFSA on Wednesday 24th of October marked the successful conclusion of a collaborative education project between the ANU, School of Art and the National Film and Sound Archive. Now in its forth year this Collaborative Integrated Study System aims to introduce visual arts and design students early to their creative industry. This educational initiative is part of our first year’s Foundation Studies program and is designed to widen the students professional personal networks and connect them to the knowledge base of staff in the Archive.

This year’s student works were considered of particularly high standard and we are pleased that seven animations were selected to be included in the National Film and Sound Archive’s collection. Animations from the following students were selected:

Corri Hakaraia and Sue Hewat, Sculpture & Ceramics
Peter Kongmalavong, Textiles
Alycia Moffat, Print Media & Drawing
Ha Rim Park, Visual Arts Practice Major
Andrew Proctor, Digital Media
Julian Rouch, Digital Media
Madeleine Ward, Digital Media
