Two Photography and Media Arts graduates, Heather Corrigan and Charlie White, were selected as finalists in the 2013 National Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery. The award was established in 2007 and both Heather and Charlie are graduates from 2012. Judge and curator, Joanna Gilmour says the the prize aims "to support and showcase the strength and inventiveness of photographic portraiture as practiced by Australian photographers today." This year, the 53 finalists were selected from a pool of entries that exceeded 1,200 by three judges and demonstrated varied approaches to the field of photographic portraiture.

The exhibition runs from 8 March to 19 May 2013 at the National Portrait Gallery.
