April Surgent has been awarded a prestigious USA Ford Fellowship for Crafts. Representing nine creative disciplines, each USA Fellow receives an unrestricted $50,000 award and recognition as one of America’s most accomplished and innovative artists.

April graduated from the SoA Glass Workshop in 2004, wining the ANU University Medal with her work in engraved glass.
