In the spirit of 'Art' and 'Activism' - the two passions of poet Judith Wright and the fires that ignite Braidwood's TWO FIRES FESTIVAL - 60 participants at the 2013 Festival stage a mass Solar Walk Out in Braidwood's Ryrie Park to put politicians on notice that geo-engineering responses to climate change are totally unacceptable and that coal should be left in the ground. Guided by artist and experienced Solar System walker, John Reid (right with magaphone), Environment Studio, ANU School of Art, the Festival goers each clocked up a massive 1,800 kms relative to the sun in just a brief 1 minute Solar Walk.
