Vale Angela Parragi

The ANU School of Art & Design is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of alumna Angela Parragi.

Angela completed her Honours in Visual Arts at the School of Art & Design in 2010, winning the Emerging Artist Support Scheme (EASS) Embassy of Spain Book Award, and an EASS Acquisition Award. Angela continued to develop her considerable painting skills and in 2017 won the Cliftons Art Prize for her portrait of composer Larry Sitsky. She was a finalist in the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize, the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize, the Cliftons Art Prize, the Black Swan Portrait Prize and the M16 Artspace Drawing Prize. Angela’s works were exhibited throughout Canberra and her contribution to our community and the Canberra Arts Scene will be missed.
